So did anyone read the newsletter sent by Yoshi P and get stupid excited like me? Mid to end January we are to expect, and I quote: "with the release of patch 2.5, which contains myriad challenges for adventurers of every persuasion. The patch will include roughly two-thirds of the final main scenario quests, three new dungeons, and the conclusion of the Crystal Tower questline and the World of Darkness. The patch will also feature the adventures of Hildibrand─agent of enquiry, inspector extraordinaire─on his latest (and perhaps final?) investigation, a new battle against Odin, the Dark Divinity of legend, in Urth’s Fount, new gear for gatherers and crafters, numerous new recipes, and more."

Okay. HOLD ON. ODIN PRIMAL FIGHT?? WHAT. Also the dungeons - one said to be all new and two hard modes - Amdapor Keep and Wanderer's Palace.

If this isn't enough to look forward to on top of heavensward itself, the end of March Yoshi P announced The Gold Saucer! There you can play TRIPLE TRIAD! He also stated there will be chocobo racing and breeding!

It seems with all this coming fast, some of this will be content relevant - such as the Odin primal fight like Shiva. This being said, don't catch yourself behind in content so we can all enjoy the wondries of 2.5-2.51 Before the Fall content together. If anyone needs help getting to the end content now (Shiva, or to Syrcus Tower for the next Crystal Tower) don't be afraid to ask! Shiva is my personal favorite so I'll run it with anyone and everyone for all the days.

I need to really do my "studying" and do Shiva HM, iffy ex, and ultros so I can continue on everything. I'm working on mainly crafting right now, but this weekend I'm be ready to start serious battle again! I'm excited for all the new stuffs.

Nice Jen! I wish I was able to be on this weekend to be a part of the action :). I personally haven't started the hildibrand quest line because I didn't know it existed until I met Sweets. I wanna fight ultros too ;n;

I know right? I'm never going to leave Golden Saucer. Ffxiv is gonna turn into an online triple triad game for me. I'm excited for Alexander primal fight too. He was pretty tough in 13, at least for the level I was at lol. I really hope chocobo breeding won't be for chocobos at lv 10. *crosses fingers* I also wonder if they will be keeping the Odin mega fate with the primal fight coming out or if they will scratch it and make the previous loot from the fate be purchased similar to Shiva (5 diamond dust and weapon to upgrade).

So… "The Keeper of the Lake" is most likely definitely possibly Midgardsormr.

"When the Empire invaded Mor Dhona, knowing it to possess Eorzea's greatest concentration of aether, they incurred the wrath of Midgardsormr, who burst forth from the water to fulfill his purpose as its guardian. Despite fighting "with divine strength and purpose," he, and the dragons that came from Dravania to fight alongside one they revered as a king, could not overpower the might of the Empire's armada.

His last act was a crippling blow to Agrius; enraged, Midgardsormr coiled around the airship and broke through its hull with a massive energy blast. However, as Agrius crashed and Midgardsormr let out a victorious cry, the ceruleum fuel stores within the ship ignited and the resulting explosion destroyed them both. The devastation was such that the Empire retreated to Ala Mhigo and dared not enter Eorzea again until the VIIth Legion under Nael van Darnus was ordered to the western front in 1571.

Currently working on 3rd download attempt. ..
started around 1am and then fell asleep so the ps3 auto shut off. Restarted this morning and then the power went out. Fingers crossed that nothing happens in the next 39 minutes! Killing me.
