Hi Vanguards, it's high time that we got some formal rules up in here so we all know where we stand. If you have any questions on these, please ask any officer that is on and we'd be happy to explain in more detail. As they stand now I think they are pretty self explanatory.
Rules for Members:
1) Signing up on the forums is not a requirement for being in this FC, but people will be posting videos, guides, rotations for jobs, etc that will help people with raiding and other content. So it would be good of you to visit at least once a week.
In addition to the above, if you want help with something and post in the Event Scheduling section you are more likely to get help with whatever it is. This lets people know you need assistance whether or not people are logged on in game so they can plan to help you when they do log on.
2) No drama in FC chat. What this means is if you have a problem with someone, keep it to tells. If that problem becomes a serious issue, then bring the issue to an officer.
3) All members will be expected to be able to take criticism. This doesn't mean ragefests, this means simple assessments of your playing ability. This assessment is not a determination of your personal worth as a person, nor is it any indication we think you are somehow lesser. If at any point someone offers you tips, advice, or mentions you need improvement in an area use that advice to get better, don't get upset.
4) Activity Requirements: Right now, 40 days of inactivity will earn you a kick. You are more than welcome to come back in the event you log back on and want to play again however.
This is to assure an active FC with members who regularly log on.
5) Be nice. It's okay to poke fun at people sometimes or make a dark joke, that's part of being friendly with one another. Be aware of what you say and how it may affect people. Even if what you say isn't offensive to you it may be to others. Use discretion.
What does 'discretion' mean? Well, Valor has a diverse group of folks and we welcome people of all persuasions and try to be respectful to one another (jokes aside). Being respectful to one another includes keeping derogatory terms out of FC chat.
Failure to adhere to the above may result in the following action:
First, we will investigate the situation and get the story from both sides and try to come to an amiable conclusion of the situation. However, if after warnings and repeated mediation we will kick people presenting themselves as a problem.
Outright verbal attacks on others will not be tolerated.
6) If you have any issues with another member of the FC, you are to bring it to an officer immediately. if you are a member and have an issue with one off the officers of the FC, you are to bring that issue to a different officer and the situation will be discussed with all parties.
Dem's da Rules, ya dig? Follow them and we should be a happy and healthy FC.
